Responsibilities

• Follow the scope and sequence of the instructional program as defined and approved by the Danbury Board of Education.
• Set and reinforce clear expectations and routines.
• Manage classroom behavior to maintain an advantageous learning environment.
• Prepare lesson plans with clear objectives and appropriate techniques.
• Demonstrate strong content knowledge of Physical Education.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Conduct parent/teacher conferences.
• Assess student learning and identify interventions as needed.
• Keep parents informed of progress via interim reports and conferences.
• Design instruction to meet all students' needs in various settings.
• Design and implement assessments to measure progress.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and school community.
