Job summary

University Orthopedics in Cumberland, RI is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to conduct comprehensive examinations, establish diagnosis and prognosis, and develop individualized plans of care for patients with musculoskeletal dysfunction.

The role requires licensure in Rhode Island, experience in outpatient orthopedics preferred, and willingness to travel to all sites as needed. The incumbent will collaborate with the PT Department to ensure quality care and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in the State of RI.
• Previous experience in outpatient orthopedics/musculoskeletal rehab preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Team oriented professional.
• Must be able to travel to all sites if/when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients of various ages with musculoskeletal dysfunction.
• Design and discuss appropriate treatment interventions based on findings in evaluation.
• Perform necessary documentation to ensure compliance with federal and insurance regulations.
• Manage patient progress through therapy.
• Provide timely and appropriate billing information for services provided.
• Other clinical duties as assigned by PT Department to meet patient needs.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Manager to meet department needs.
