Job summary

Stfrancis is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver direct patient care under supervision, perform treatments, and document changes in patient status. The role requires an OTA degree, licensure eligibility, BLS, and the ability to travel between facilities.

You will maintain records, participate in projects, and help educate others within the discipline. This full-time position involves working with diverse patient populations, achieving productivity goals, and adhering to safety

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Eligibility for state occupational therapy assistant licensure by examination and current state license prior to start date.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to present information clearly and professionally.
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel between facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform occupational therapy treatments as prescribed by the physician under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Provide direct patient care after evaluation by a licensed OT.
• Communicate and document changes in patient status and inform therapist of reassessment.
• Maintain patient records according to documentation standards, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in staff and committee projects.
• Achieve established productivity levels set forth by administration.
• Educate and train others within the discipline.
• Adapt behavior to the patient population, respecting privacy and communication needs.
• Perform other related duties as required.
