Job summary

Banner University Medical Center – Phoenix is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. This full-time, 40-hour-per-week role supports a busy level 1 trauma center with day shifts.

The OTA administers therapy under supervision, participates in discharge planning, and collaborates with the care team to ensure patient progress. The role requires an OTA credential, BLS certification, and Arizona Fingerprint Clearance.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an OTA program accredited by the AOTA.
• Must possess a current OTA license from the state of practice.
• BLS certification required.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at time of hire and maintain.

Responsibilities

• Administers occupational therapy treatment according to the plan of care; provides therapy aligned with patient needs.
• Documents patient progress and communicates results to the supervising OT and care team.
• Collaborates with the OT to adjust goals, timelines and discharge planning as needed.
• Maintains compliance with department standards and regulatory requirements; supports department operations.
