Job summary

Banner Medical Group in Gilbert, Arizona, is seeking an Orthopedics Medical Assistant for a day shift (7:30am–5pm, Mon–Fri). You will support clinicians, prepare patients, take vitals, assist with exams and minor procedures, and coordinate referrals and scheduling to ensure seamless patient care.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, completion of an approved medical assistant program, active MA certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Complete an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required for certain sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for exam and treatment; record vitals and chief complaints.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures.
• Coordinate pre-certifications, referrals, and scheduling; communicate test results to patients.
• Maintain medical records and support billing-related information.
• Keep exam rooms and equipment clean and disinfected.
