Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college or university required.
• Ability to understand and apply safety, technology, and educational procedures.
• Ability to prepare and communicate effectively through written reports, lesson plans, and correspondence.
• Capacity to interpret data including rate, ratio, and percent calculations.
• Proficiency with PC operations and software applications such as word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
• Capable of collaborating with parents and guardians and serving as liaison with professionals.
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies and provide accommodations to meet individual student needs.
• Strong physical capability to manage classroom and student needs, including crisis interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provides Instruction at appropriate instructional level and develops content.
• Assess and encourages student progress; monitor and respond to progress.
• Maintain effective learning environment and classroom behavior.
• Interact professionally with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Plan and coordinate duties with paraprofessionals and volunteers.
