Job summary

Catholic Community Schools is seeking on-call substitute teachers for grades 6-12 to cover classes in the Catholic school network. You will follow established lesson plans, support classroom routines, and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment in the teacher's absence.

Responsibilities include taking attendance, supervising students, handling behavior per policy, and communicating with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Preferred: Minnesota Teaching License or Short Call Substitute License.
• Experience with middle/high school students.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Background screening and safe environment training completed.

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans and classroom routines during teacher absences.
• Take attendance and maintain attendance procedures.
• Maintain a respectful classroom and address behavior per school policy.
• Supervise students during activities and other duties.
• Follow safety, emergency, and mandated-reporting procedures.
• Protect confidential student information and maintain boundaries.
• Use approved technology and instructional resources.
• Communicate respectfully with students, families, staff, and admins.
• Leave a brief summary of lessons and student progress.
• Perform other duties as directed by the principal.
