Job summary

Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas Eastgate Campus is seeking an On-Call (Day-to-Day) Substitute Teacher to cover classes at CASLV campuses in Las Vegas and Henderson, NV. This in-person role supports continuity of instruction during teacher absences.

The substitute is expected to implement lesson plans, manage behavior, and adapt materials to meet diverse student needs, while maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid Nevada substitute teaching license or ability to obtain one.
• Prior experience working with children in a school setting preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to work across different grade levels as needed.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans and instructional materials left by the classroom teacher.
• Manage student behavior in accordance with school policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment.
• Communicate with administrators and teachers regarding student performance and any issues that arise.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
• Supervise students in the classroom and during school activities as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times.
• Follow all school rules, procedures, and policies.
