Job summary

WKRC is seeking a creative Director to join the Local 12 News team in Cincinnati. The role requires directing newscasts, coordinating with the production crew, and maintaining the studio and control room to ensure smooth broadcasts.

The ideal candidate will have broadcast production experience, ability to direct under pressure, and strong basic reading/writing and typing skills. A college degree is preferred, and lifting heavy lighting instruments is required.

Qualifications

• Experience Directing newscasts.
• Knowledge of production standards and equipment.
• Ability to clearly give direction to crew while under pressure.
• Typing and good spelling skills necessary.
• Ability to read and write, college degree preferred.
• Must be able to lift & position 30-pound lighting instruments.

Responsibilities

• Direct assigned newscasts and productions.
• Collaborate with the production crew on a daily basis.
• Maintain production studio and control room.
• Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned, which may include editing.
