Job summary

WCHS is seeking a Director and Editor for our Newscasts to lead production teams and ensure high-quality broadcasts. The role involves directing and TDing, creating daily graphics with Photoshop and Deko, and mentoring crew in cameras, audio, and graphics.

Ideal candidates will have experience directing and TDing newscasts, strong knowledge of production standards, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite. A college degree is preferred and the ability to work under pressure is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience directing and TDing newscasts or productions.
• Knowledge of production standards and equipment.
• Full working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to clearly give direction to crew under pressure.
• Typing and good spelling skills are required.
• Read, write, and preferably hold a college degree.

Responsibilities

• Direct and TD any assigned newscasts and productions.
• Create graphics daily using Photoshop and Deko.
• Train production crew in cameras, audio, graphics, etc.
• Supervise production crew on a daily basis.
• Maintain production studio and control room.
• Perform other tasks related to the position, including website contribution.
