WTVD News Producer in Durham, NC is seeking an experienced journalist to produce and manage daily newscasts, overseeing editorial and production elements and writing clear, compelling copy.

You will pitch and develop story ideas aligned with the station’s strategy, collaborating with anchors, reporters, editors, writers and graphics teams to deliver a fast, accurate and engaging news product, including handling last-minute changes under pressure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience at a local television news station with strong editorial judgment and storytelling skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt quickly to breaking news and schedule changes.
