The ideal candidate will craft compelling newscasts, write tight scripts, and lead a team of anchors, reporters and production staff with clear, confident communication.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing, spelling, grammar and copy-editing skills.
• Proven newsroom experience.
• Ability to multi-task and coordinate several crews simultaneously.
• Strong news judgment with ability to select compelling stories.
• Ability to communicate the plan clearly to anchors, reporters and staff.
• Willingness to work holidays, nights, weekends and overnights.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Select, research and write content for live newscasts to enhance viewer experience.
• Coordinate and communicate the creative vision with anchors, reporters, meteorologists, photographers, editors and staff.
• Booth assigned newscasts, breaking news and weather events.
• Attend in person for newscasts and events.
