Job summary

Hearst Television in the Orlando market seeks an experienced producer to craft memorable newscasts. You’ll write, assign, and supervise content under tight deadlines, guiding anchors, reporters, meteorologists, and crew to deliver a polished experience.

The role requires fast decision-making, strong news judgment, and ability to adapt in a dynamic newsroom; in-person work and flexibility with shifts including holidays are expected; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Professional or college producing experience.
• Excellent writing, spelling, grammar and copy-editing skills.
• Experience working in a newsroom.
• Ability to multi-task and coordinate several crews and responsibilities.
• Must be available to work holidays, shifts including nights, weekends and overnights.
• Producers who are bilingual are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Select, research, and write content for live newscasts to make the newscast an "experience" for viewers
• Communicating, coordinating, and executing creative vision with team of anchors, reporters, meteorologists, photographers, editors, and production staff
• Booth assigned newscasts, breaking news and weather events
• In-person attendance is required
