The ideal candidate has 3+ years on-air journalism in smaller markets or college stations, a 4-year degree in Communications or Journalism preferred, strong writing and social media skills, and the ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in on-air journalism in smaller market or college station.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications or Journalism preferred.
• Knowledgeable of local, regional, and national trends.
• Strong writing and editing skills with excellent grammar.

Responsibilities

• Anchor newscasts for multiple markets.
• Write clear, concise news copy.
• Produce, edit and write content for 24/7 Newswire.
• Post news and video content to newsroom social platforms.
• Gather audio from press conferences, live events and partner TV stations.
• Produce short-form reports for anchors on shift.
• Anchor breaking news when needed.
• General newsroom duties.
