Blackstone Valley Prep, part of ATX Learning, seeks a dedicated Music Teacher to deliver general music instruction for grades 5 and 6 and potentially support beginner band after school. Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree is required with certification in music education or the ability to be emergency certified by the Rhode Island Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Teach general music education classes for grades 5 and 6 during the school day and possibly support beginner band after school.
• Create and implement engaging lessons balancing music literacy, vocal development, instrumental instruction, movement, and composition.
• Align lessons with national and state music standards.
• Collaborate with school-based and district-wide teams to enhance the music program and curriculum.
