The ideal candidate has 1–3 years anchoring and reporting experience, a broadcast journalism degree, and strong writing and digital media skills. Overnight and weekend shifts may be required as part of coverage.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years anchoring and reporting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism or related field.
• Strong editorial judgment and writing skills.
• Proficiency in story creation and newscast production.
• Understanding of digital/new media platforms and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Present news stories and digital content clearly, engaging audiences.
• Develop sources and stories within the community.
• Engage with viewers across social platforms.
• Assist in writing, copy editing, researching, and coordinating stories.
• Mentor early-career journalists and help develop their skills.
• Report from the field as assigned and participate in promotional activities.
• Overnights and weekends may be required.
