NBC Bay Area is seeking a dynamic journalist for a full-time Multi-Platform Content Producer, Writer and Fill-In Newscast Producer role in San Jose, CA. You’ll craft content for broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms and fill in on newscasts, collaborating with editors and digital teams.

Ideal candidates have strong writing and editorial judgment, thrive under tight deadlines, and bring fresh ideas for multi-platform storytelling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience writing and/or producing in a medium sized television newsroom.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write and produce engaging content for broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms
• Fill in as a newscast producer on assigned shows and special coverage
• Collaborate with reporters, producers, and digital teams to create coverage
• Pitch and develop original story ideas
• Respond quickly to breaking news situations
• Help craft high-impact newscasts for Bay Area viewers
• Contribute to storytelling across platforms, including social media and streaming
