NBCUniversal Bay Area is seeking a dynamic Multi-Platform Content Producer, Writer and Fill-In Newscast Producer to join our award-winning team in San Jose, CA. This full-time role requires strong writing, producing skills and the ability to deliver fast, accurate coverage for broadcast, streaming and digital platforms.

You’ll collaborate with reporters, editors and digital teams, craft compelling stories, pitch ideas, and contribute to high-impact newscasts on evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience writing and/or producing in a medium sized television newsroom.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Write and produce engaging content for broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms.
• Fill in as a newscast producer on assigned shows and special coverage.
• Collaborate closely with reporters, producers, assignment editors, and digital teams to create compelling coverage.
• Pitch, research, and develop original story ideas.
• Respond quickly and accurately to breaking news situations.
• Help craft high-impact newscasts that connect with Bay Area viewers.
• Contribute to innovative storytelling across multiple platforms, including social media and streaming.
