Job summary

The Michaels Organization is seeking a Community Manager to oversee all on-site property management activities and staff for multiple properties. You will lead leasing, maintenance, budgeting, and resident relations while ensuring compliance and high operating standards.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating with vendors, preparing budgets, and driving leasing campaigns to keep properties competitive and compliant with applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Two+ years in multi-family property management.
• Direct supervision of employees.
• Multi-family leasing experience required.
• Tax Credit, Section 8 or Public housing experience preferred.
• Accredited Resident Manager or similar designation preferred.
• Valid driver's license and vehicle available.

Responsibilities

• Manage, direct, train and ensure safety of all staff on the property.
• Hire, train, evaluate staff; manage salaries and discipline per policy.
• Schedule staff for office and maintenance work; approve time off.
• Train staff in safety; report accidents to appropriate personnel.
• Design and execute leasing marketing; sign leases; monitor competition and adapt.
• Ensure residents meet compliance and eligibility; address non-compliant issues.
• Assist in annual budget prep; maintain financial records and vacancy reports.
• Supervise outside contractors; negotiate contracts; ensure deadlines.
• Manage move-in/out and inspections processes.
• Engage with residents and providers to address issues and improve.
• Comply with accounting and operations directives.
• Inspect property for deficiencies; implement improvements per guidelines.
• Obtain required certifications within first year; stay compliant.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
