Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Foundation, a California nonprofit health system, seeks a Medical Assistant to support daily patient care and assist the medical team. You will float to multiple Ventura County clinics, prepare charts, help with exams or procedures, and relay physician instructions.

You will manage vital signs, assist with medications per physician directions, maintain medical records in the EMR, and coordinate with providers, insurance, and pharmacies for authorizations and refills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient charts and assist with exams or procedures.
• Relay physician instructions and administer physician-directed medications.
• Accurately measure vital signs and manage EMR/medical records.
• Communicate patient concerns to providers and collaborate with physicians, insurance, and pharmacies for authorizations and refills.
• Float to multiple clinic locations as needed.
