Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Group is seeking a Float Medical Assistant to support the daily operations of multiple clinic locations in Ventura County, CA. You will assist physicians during exams and procedures, prepare patient charts, manage EMR records, and coordinate with insurance for medication authorizations and refills.

The role requires a Medical Assistant program completion and CPR upon hire, with preference for candidates who have outpatient experience and receptionist exposure in fast-paced

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Formal Medical Assistant program completion.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) upon hire.
• Preferred: 6 months outpatient Medical Assistant experience.
• Preferred: 6 months experience as Medical Office Receptionist or in a high-volume customer service role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient charts and assist with exams or procedures.
• Relay physician instructions and administer physician-directed medications.
• Measure vital signs and manage medical records (charts/EMR).
• Communicate patient concerns to providers and coordinate with insurance and pharmacies for authorizations and refills.
