Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Valid teaching certification, or eligibility to obtain through reciprocity.
• 2–3 years of successful teaching experience.
• Ability to build a safe, structured classroom where scholars are supported.

• Experience differentiating instruction for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan rigorous, standards-aligned science lessons using phenomenon-based approaches.
• Deliver high-quality instruction developing core disciplinary skills.
• Build affirming relationships that encourage intellectual risk-taking.
• Integrate culturally relevant, identity-affirming practices.
• Use data and ongoing assessment to differentiate instruction.
• Establish a structured, joyful classroom culture with high expectations.
• Lead a homeroom/advisory and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
• Collaborate with colleagues in weekly professional learning.
