Qualifications

• Degree in education or in a related area that will qualify for licensure as a teacher by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.

Responsibilities

• Major function: Management of Instructional Time – ensure materials and start the lesson promptly and keep students on task.
• Major function: Management of Student Behavior – establish rules and monitor behavior respectfully.
• Major function: Instructional Presentation – present lessons clearly with appropriate examples and demonstrations.
• Major function: Instructional Monitoring of Student Performance – check student progress and maintain standards.
• Major function: Instructional Feedback – provide timely feedback on class and homework.
• Major function: Facilitating Instruction – align objectives with curriculum and use resources effectively.
• Major function: Interacting Within the Educational Environment – treat students fairly and engage with stakeholders.
• Major function: Performing Non-Instructional Duties – fulfill duties and pursue professional development.
