Job summary

Prep Public Schools is seeking a motivated middle school science teacher to support student achievement and mastery of grade-level content. The teacher will deliver quality instruction, work with students on critical thinking and writing, and help them access AP and advanced coursework.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and Tennessee teaching licensing, with a commitment to at least 37.5 hours on site per week and involvement in after-school tutoring or Saturday school as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution is required.
• Valid Tennessee teaching license with endorsement code for the subject/grade or willingness to pursue it.

Responsibilities

• Implement state standards and curriculum; deliver grade-level content.
• Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
• Track student progress and update gradebook weekly.
• Communicate progress with students and families weekly.
