Job summary

Springfield Empowerment Zone Partnership (SEZP) seeks a dedicated Middle School Special Education Teacher to lead inclusive instruction for grades 6–8. The role emphasizes rigorous, standards-aligned teaching, data-informed adjustments, and strong student relationships within a collaborative school culture.

Qualifications include a Massachusetts DESE educator license in the appropriate subject/grade level and a Bachelor’s degree, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching at the middle or high school level.
• Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required and Massachusetts DESE educator license in the appropriate subject and grade level.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standards-aligned instruction with data-informed planning.
• Foster belonging and a positive school culture through relationships.
• Collaborate in co-teaching teams and professional learning communities.
• Engage families as partners through regular communication.
• Uphold school-wide expectations related to curriculum, assessment, and professional conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
