Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking a Math Teacher for Middle School to implement instruction that enables each student to reach their maximum potential.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and Texas teaching certification with Math 4-8 certification if not already held, plus TEA-aligned testing requirements. The position is exempt and on-site with a 188-day calendar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or out-of-state equivalency is required.
• Math 4-8 Certification must be obtained during the first year if not already held.
• Content exam and Science of Teaching Reading requirements must be met where applicable.
• Certification must meet federal/state qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the district's instruction philosophy and develop lesson plans with written preparation evidence.
• Prepare lessons reflecting diverse learning styles and align with TEA guidelines and policies.
• Assess student learning styles and adjust curricula, collaborating with special education as needed (IEP).
• Collaborate with staff to set instructional goals and supervise aides/volunteers; incorporate technology.
• Support student growth and maintain professional communication with parents and principals.
