Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in mathematics from an accredited college or university.
• Current or eligible for MA Mathematics teacher licensure.
• Excellent knowledge of the teaching and learning process and content areas.
• Classroom teaching experience.
• Experience with standards-based, inquiry-based instruction and diverse learners.
• Bilingual English/Spanish desirable.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Teach subject area according to BACPS curriculum guidelines.
• Develop a high-level, challenging curriculum in mathematics.
• Continuously evaluate and develop curriculum to meet student needs.
• Collaborate with faculty to implement varied instructional approaches for diverse learners.
• Model independent thinking, creative problem solving, and abstract reasoning.
• Manage positive resolutions with students/parents as needed.
• Assess student performance continuously and objectively.
