Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Middle School Assistant Principal at Manheim Township Middle School to lead instructional efforts across a designated learning community. The role focuses on data-driven practice, school culture, and student growth across academics, behavior, and social-emotional domains.

The candidate will oversee hiring, supervision, and evaluation of staff, support curriculum delivery, and participate in LEA roles for MDE, IEP, GIEP, and 504 meetings.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree and Principal Certification are required.
• 7-10 years of teaching experience.
• At least 1 year of administrative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as a dynamic instructional leader within a learning community.
• Analyze data to support student achievement and school improvement.
• Hire, supervise and evaluate teachers and support staff.
• Facilitate and oversee curriculum and instruction delivery.
• Serve as LEA in MDE, IEP, GIEP and 504 meetings.
• Address student discipline and attendance issues; maintain safe learning environment.
• Support leadership and supervision of after-school events and activities.
