Job summary

Nativity School of Worcester is seeking a History Teacher to lead instruction for grades 6–8 and collaborate with a team to advance the History program. The role involves developing lesson plans, maintaining curriculum documents, and co-teaching with paraprofessionals to maximize student achievement.

Responsibilities include weekly Student Support Team participation, WIN block activities, and proactive family communication, with AVID trainings as needed.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts DESE Certification in History preferred.
• At least one year of classroom experience, preferably middle school.
• Willing to promote Ignatian mission and inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead four History classes in grades 6-8 (6th–8th) and co-teach others.
• Lead and participate in co-teaching with paraprofessionals to grow the History program.
• Develop lesson plans and maintain curriculum documents with lesson/unit plans, worksheets, and assessments.
• Participate in Student Support Team meetings and WIN blocks; communicate progress to families; support AVID trainings.
