Job summary

Nativity School of Worcester is seeking a Math Teacher to lead middle school math for grades 6–8 and support AVID initiatives. The role emphasizes collaborative planning, student growth, and ongoing family communication in a close-knit school community.

The teacher will manage multiple classes, develop comprehensive lesson plans, and participate in staff meetings and after‑school duties. Immediate start and a competitive salary are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching math to middle school students (grades 6–8).
• Ability to lead multiple sections and co‑teach as needed.
• Familiarity with AVID strategies and school-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead four math classes for grades 6–8.
• Co‑teach and support the Math Department to increase impact.
• Develop and maintain lesson plans and unit/worksheet/assessment documentation.
• Participate in weekly Student Support Team meetings and WIN blocks.
• Communicate progress with families and caregivers regularly.
• Support AVID training and implementation in classrooms.
• Assist with staff duties, advisory, and after‑school needs.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and two annual retreats.
