Qualifications

Active Florida Professional Educator Certificate: Guidance and Counseling (PK-12) required.

Ability to collaborate with administrators, teachers, parents and community partners.

Responsibilities

Provides ongoing counseling services (individual, small group, and large group) in academics, career awareness, and social/personal development.
Collaborates with administrators, teachers, parents, and community agencies to address counseling and planning needs.
Interprets school records for educational planning and reviews transcripts.
Addresses student needs and refers to appropriate resources; provides crisis counseling as needed.
Engages parents in education through conferences and supports student self-understanding and interpersonal skills.
Distributes information about community resources and performs other duties as assigned.
