Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our Sterling Health Center in Sterling, CO. The role includes rooming patients, taking vitals, and providing an exceptional patient experience from 7 AM to 7 PM, with rotating Saturdays.

The position supports clinicians and nursing staff and coordinates care across outpatient services. Requirements include a High school diploma or GED, completion of an approved MA program, and active MA certification with BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification required (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA) with current membership.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with medical software.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs and documenting chief complaints.
• Assist clinicians with exams and minor in-office procedures; perform phlebotomy and EKGs as needed.
• Coordinate patient care: referrals, authorizations, scheduling, and test result communication.
• Provide clerical support and ensure accurate medical records and billing information.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and sterilize equipment per guidelines.
• Order supplies and manage medication-related tasks and recalls.
• Foster effective communication with patients, families, and external contacts.
• Complete onboarding and orientation activities as directed.
• Work under supervision of providers and support multiple departments as needed.
