Job summary

BASIS.ed is seeking a Math/Science Teacher (SET) to deliver high-quality instruction within BASIS Curriculum. The role operates in BASIS Elementary classrooms that are co-taught, combining two teachers to design and implement grade-specific lessons and assessments.

You will prepare subject-focused lesson plans, deliver instruction beyond grade level, and collaborate with LETs to meet students’ needs while maintaining strong classroom management and professional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in subject matter (or 24+ credit hours in applicable subject matter with other degree)
• Master’s degree in subject matter or education preferred
• 2+ years teaching/education experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate subject and grade specific lesson plans
• Provide subject instruction at a level above grade standard in an interactive learning environment
• Collaborate with other BASIS Curriculum teachers to develop curriculum and materials
• Tutor students in content-specific knowledge to enhance academic trajectory
• Maintain regular, full attendance
• Supervise students as needed
