Job summary

City College of San Francisco (CCSF) is seeking innovative mathematics instructors for a temporary, part-time pool to serve a diverse student population. The CCSF Mathematics Department aims to meet students where they are and help them reach their academic goals.

CCSF is a large urban community college serving learners pursuing certificates, associate degrees, and transfer pathways. Instructors will teach statistics, calculus, differential equations, data science, and linear algebra in person

Qualifications

• Earned Master’s Degree in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics from an accredited institution; OR THE EQUIVALENT.
• Bachelor’s in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics plus a Master’s Degree in Statistics, Physics, or Mathematics Education from an accredited institution; OR THE EQUIVALENT.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person community college credit mathematics courses (e.g., statistics, calculus, differential equations, data science, linear algebra).
• Assess student progress and align with identified student learning outcomes.
• Teach day, evening, and/or weekend classes in-person at one or more campus locations; participate in department and school meetings, professional development, and flex days.
