Job summary

Emerson is hiring for Material Attendant positions at our Shakopee and Chanhassen locations. You will support shipping all Emerson products, review shipments for damage, document, uncrate material, and use warehouse systems.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of shipping & receiving or stockroom experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Positions are contingent upon the passing of an aptitude assessment and pre-employment screening.
• Physical requirements: stand for 80% of the shift; capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• English communication required.

Responsibilities

• Shipping: process Rosemount products, package shipments to government and domestic levels, verify shipment documents, manage freight lines, monitor packaging inventory and handle dangerous goods shipments per DOT/IATA/IMDG rules, and operate material handling equipment.
• Receiving: inspect shipments for damage, document issues, notify discrepancies, unload and uncrate, input data into Oracle, verify material received matches order, maintain inventory and lot integrity.
• Stockroom: receive, store and distribute material, reconcile inventories, certify operation of equipment, support cycle count requirements, and perform general maintenance.
