Job summary

Dakota Bodies, LLC is seeking a Material Handler to move material around the plant with a forklift, package and stage parts, and support machines to maintain production flow.

You will perform duties with safety and quality in mind, handle loading/unloading, and track material for timely production. This role requires physical stamina, basic math, and reading BOMs, with a willingness to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, comprehend and follow detailed production instructions.
• Must be able to read and understand bill of material and production orders.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination and basic math skills.
• OSHA safety training and forklift/crane licensing are required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Moves material around plant using a forklift.
• Ensures areas are supplied with parts.
• Moves and stages material as scheduled for optimal machine efficiency.
• Provides machine support by emptying scrap and clearing lines of finished product.
• Tracks orders and tags; follows bill of material to match product with packaging.
• Performs setup of valve and burn off operations as needed.
• Performs multiple tasks to ensure ongoing machine operation.
• Maintains housekeeping and safe work environment.
