Job summary

Opti Staffing is hiring for a General Manufacturing / Machine Operator in Forest Grove, Oregon. Pay ranges from $20 to $23 per hour, DOE, with a Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm schedule.

This versatile role involves working across departments such as brazing, fabrication, machining, assembly, and forklift operation. Responsibilities include operating equipment, reading work orders, measuring and marking materials, inspecting parts for quality, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Previous manufacturing, machine operation, fabrication, assembly, or warehouse experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions, work orders, diagrams, and safety procedures.
• Basic math skills, including working with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Dependable, organized, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of manufacturing equipment and machinery according to established procedures.
• Measure, mark, cut, punch, and shape materials based on work orders and specifications.
• Set up machine components, guides, dies, and cutting tools as needed.
• Inspect materials and finished parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Document completed work and report scrapped or rejected materials.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Assist with brazing, metal fabrication, and material preparation.
• Read blueprints and diagrams and follow written instructions.
• Position, measure, and fit components to meet product specifications.
• Load, unload, move, and stage materials throughout the facility.
• Transport materials, products, and equipment between facilities and warehouses.
