Clay Today is seeking a Permitted Long Term Substitute Teacher for the Children’s Center in Fullerton, CA. This part-time, nonexempt role involves partnering with Master Teacher and Director to deliver a developmentally appropriate program.

Responsibilities include classroom coverage, planning a responsive environment, safety, health checks, parent communication, and student staff supervision. Requires BA/BS in Child Development and a Child Development Permit.

Qualifications

• BA or BS Degree in Child Development with a Child Development Permit (Associate level at minimum)
• Two years of experience teaching children under five years old
• Experience supervising adults in Early Childhood setting desirable

Responsabilités

• Assume responsibility for the classroom during times the Master Teacher is absent
• Assist in planning and carrying out a responsive environment
• Apply understanding of child development in program planning
• Assist in planning and implementing a balanced curriculum
• Ensure safety and well-being of children at all times
• Conduct daily health checks when Master Teacher is absent
• Communicate with children to support learning and social-emotional health
• Maintain awareness of children's social and emotional needs and share information with staff
• Set goals for individual children and prepare assessments/portfolios
• Assist in maintenance and preparation of the classroom
• Other duties as assigned

Formation

BA/BS Degree in Child Development

Child Development Permit - At minimum Associate Level
