The substitute works regular hours during the absence, reports to the Building / Department Administrator, and participates in professional development. Minimum ISBE licenses required; daily rate applies after 15 days.

Formación

• Experience working with students and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must hold ISBE license (PEL or SUB) and be registered in Kane County.
• Comfort with using classroom technology and instructional materials.

Responsabilidades

• Arrives on time, reviews substitute plans, and prepares for the day.
• Deliver lesson plans and take daily attendance as directed.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing of all students and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain professional rapport with students, staff, and administrators.
• Maintain classroom order and adapt to individual learning needs.
• Incorporate assistive technology where appropriate and participate in PD.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Principal or administrator.
