Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a Line Producer to coordinate the timing and delivery of live and taped sports programming across multiple platforms, including MLB, NFL, NBA, and soccer. The role oversees editorial content, staffing, and cross‑department collaboration to ensure air-ready broadcasts.

The position requires strong control room leadership, extensive live production experience, and the ability to manage a team of producers and assistants.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience producing entertainment or sports television programming.
• 5+ years of Control Room experience, including line producing live and taped programs.
• 6+ years of progressively complex live remote production experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film, or equivalent experience.
• Strong working knowledge of production tools such as INEWS, MS Office, and Avid Interplay.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Managers to review production schedules and editorial content for upcoming events and sports deliverables.
• Coordinate production and staffing needs for broadcasts, including editing and control room operations.
• Coordinate with Digital Production on content pieces and promotional elements.
• Review and approve marketing materials related to sports productions.
• Prepare original editorial content for live events and digital extensions, including sound bites and footage.
