Job summary

US HealthConnect, Inc. through Avenue Live seeks a Live/Virtual Event AV Technician to support live, hybrid, and virtual events in Columbus, OH. You will prep, test, operate audio, video, lighting equipment and ensure smooth event execution.

This is a full-time on-site role based in our Columbus warehouse with 30–50% travel. You will collaborate with production teams, perform QC, troubleshoot, and stay current on AV tech.

Qualifications

• Background in audiovisual technology, event production, or related field.
• Basic understanding of electronics, networking, and AV systems.
• Ability to set up and operate audio, video, lighting, and related equipment.
• Familiar with hybrid/virtual platforms (Zoom, Teams) and switching/encoding tools (vMix, OBS).
• Willingness to travel 30–50% including overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, scan, pack, and organize audiovisual equipment according to pull sheets.
• Perform QC checks on equipment before deployment to ensure functionality.
• Set up, test, operate, and break down audio, video, lighting, and related equipment.
• Assist with installation and configuration of AV systems for live, hybrid, and virtual events.
• Provide on-site technical support throughout event setup, execution, and breakdown.
• Maintain organization and inventory of equipment and accessories.
