Elephants Delicatessen in Portland, OR is seeking a dynamic Line Cook to prepare food to our Scratch kitchen standards in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. You will contribute to a team that delivers exceptional, made-from-scratch meals with pride and consistency.

The ideal candidate brings at least 1 year of kitchen experience, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to balance high standards with friendly, clear communication during busy shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of kitchen experience with a focus on hospitality.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team and guests.
• Comfort with fast-paced service and maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Responsabilités

• Provide exemplary customer service and engage with guests.
• Engage in active selling and promote products.
• Direct customers around the store and menu; maintain product knowledge.
• Produce all food according to Elephants' recipes.
• Use equipment safely as directed by manager/trainer.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Cross-train in various BOH roles.
• Uphold sanitation and food safety standards.
• Monitor workflow during peak hours and adjust as needed.
• Address guest concerns with professionalism and urgency.
