Job summary

Code Ninjas in Houston is seeking a Coding Instructor/Tutor/Mentor to guide kids ages 5–14 through engaging coding sessions and hands-on projects. You will help create a fun, safe environment where students build confidence and problem-solving skills while learning fundamental tech concepts.

Ideal candidates have experience with mentoring or teaching children, can collaborate well with a team, and enjoy fast-paced environments where creativity and adaptability are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with children ages 5 and up in mentoring, coaching or tutoring.
• Experience working with the general public.
• Experience in teaching, mentoring or child care.
• Ability to collaborate with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of coding or technology; able to learn concepts quickly.

Responsibilities

• Train staff through the curriculum and learn it.
• Create a positive, safe environment for student growth.
• Work with children to determine individual skill sets.
• Provide feedback to parents after tours or sessions.
• Follow opening and closing duties daily.
• Keep the dojo clean to meet corporate standards.
• Report weekly to Center Assistant Manager on progress.
• Report daily to Center Manager on day’s activities and productivity.
