Job summary

KidStrong Summerville is seeking a passionate Children’s Coach to engage with kids aged 12 months to 11 years and their parents. You will lead classes, promote brain, physical, and character development, and implement the evolving monthly curriculum with a high-energy, safety-first approach.

Flexibility for part-time or full-time schedules is provided. You will mentor families and collaborate with a fun, professional team while driving positive outcomes and hands-on guidance in a vibrant studio

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children is non-negotiable.
• Prior experience coaching students within the KidStrong age is preferred.
• Experience speaking to and educating parents on the KidStrong curriculum.
• Knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.
• CPR certified.
• Positive, motivating interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-starter who gets the job done.
• Enjoys being in the spotlight.

Responsibilities

• Coach classes of 6 to 15 children aged roughly 12 months to 11 years.
• Teach the KidStrong curriculum provided by HQ programming team.
• Ensure classes start and end on schedule and follow curriculum pace.
• Greet students and parents individually before class.
• Maintain a dynamic, fun, professional demeanor while leading class.
• Demonstrate and manage exercise implementation.
• Keep the center clean (lobby, bathrooms, floors) and sanitize mats.
• Use KS Coach App to record class data for parents.
• Communicate professionally with teammates via Slack.
• Complete training through FranConnect as required by HQ.
• Work in a physically intensive environment moving equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Hands-on with kids to ensure safety.
• Assist parents of younger students with class flow.
• Attend monthly staff meetings for curriculum training.
• Learn and manage Coach KidStrong Academy classes when schools are closed.
• Obtain HQ certification status.
• Attend monthly meetings for next month curriculum training.
