Job summary

Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities is seeking an Instructor Assistant to support licensed instructors in classrooms for students with developmental disabilities. You will help implement lesson plans, maintain a safe learning environment, and aid in daily record-keeping and communications as required by IEPs.

The role requires completion of secondary education and at least one year of relevant experience, plus an Educational Aide Permit and appropriate certifications.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary education and one year experience with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Must obtain Educational Aide Permit issued by Ohio Department of Education with ability to obtain ESEA Qualification.
• Must pass pre-employment BCII check and post-offer physical exam with drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist a licensed instructor in teaching students with developmental disabilities in approved curriculum areas.
• Maintain a safe, learning-conducive classroom environment and implement daily lesson plans aligned with IEPs.
• Prepare materials, operate equipment, record responses, and assist with transportation and daily student needs.
