Job summary

Durham Technical Community College seeks an adjunct instructor of Humanities in the Humanities and Fine Arts Department. The Adjunct Instructor handles course preparation, delivery, grading, and records management, working closely with the Discipline Chair to support the CALA department and its students.

Qualifications

Master’s degree and at least 18 graduate semester hours in Humanities or related courses.
Successful experience teaching at a university or community college.

Responsibilities

Teach all courses, as assigned, for the full duration of scheduled instruction.
Be fully prepared with a syllabus and instructional plans for each class session.
Enforce academic policy and procedures at all times, and comply with institutional rules and regulations.
Maintain complete course and student records, reports, and forms.
Stay current with developments in the field of instruction and complete mandatory professional development training.
Work with the chair and department leadership to support CALA objectives.
