Qualifications

• Must hold valid Michigan teaching certificate.
• DX or DI Certification for Science.
• EL certification or experience with EL students preferred.
• Professional development in NGSS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaches science knowledge across general science, biology, chemistry, physics and earth science per district curriculum.
• Promotes critical and creative thinking and analysis.
• Maintains safe classroom environment suitable for diverse learners.
• Develops and implements lesson plans and learning activities.
• Differentiates instruction to reach students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
• Manages assessment and progress reporting for all students.
