• Ability to motivate students and communicate with diverse student backgrounds; manage support staff and instructional aides.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate teaching methods and state curriculum standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop students’ academic and interpersonal skills through district-approved curriculum and coursework.
• Document teaching activities and student progress; monitor outcomes and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Provide a safe and conducive learning environment aligned with district policies.
• Provide timely feedback to students, parents and administration regarding progress and goals.
• Plan daily lessons and activities aligned with course goals and standards; adapt for student needs.
• Communicate clearly about course objectives, grading standards, and expectations to students and families.
