Job summary

Pleasantville Public Schools is seeking a Secondary Teacher (High School English) to deliver engaging instruction aligned with the New Jersey Core Curriculum. The successful candidate will design lessons, assess students, and differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs within a positive learning environment.

Candidates must hold a NJ instructional certificate with appropriate endorsements and demonstrate strong communication and collaboration with staff, students, and families.

Qualifications

• Hold a New Jersey instructional certificate and other appropriate subject area endorsement(s) in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:27.1 et seq.
• Demonstrate knowledge of child growth and development and effective instructional strategies.
• Exhibit positive interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, and community.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing.
• Provide health and character clearances as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Establish high standards and expectations for academic performance and behavior.
• Plan and implement sequential learning experiences based on data.
• Incorporate Core Content Standards into instruction where appropriate.
• Provide and organize materials and resources to support the instructional program.
