The teacher will coordinate clinical placements, mentor students, and collaborate with counselors to support academic and career pathways while maintaining compliance and strong community

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio Department of Education (ODEW) teaching license.
• RN license with five years nursing experience and one year in long-term care.
• Completion of Train the Trainer course or willingness to obtain.
• Eligibility to obtain Ohio CTE Teaching License within required timelines.
• Strong curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment knowledge.
• Effective oral and written communication; computer/instructional technology proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in the CTE Clinical Health Careers curriculum.
• Implement and manage the Health Science program aligned with Ohio standards.
• Collaborate with counselors and staff to support students academically, socially, and emotionally.
• Supervise clinical experiences and work-based learning opportunities.
• Maintain documentation for CTE reports, credential data, and compliance.
• Engage with healthcare partners to support placements and activities.
• Communicate progress to students and parents regarding credentials and career pathways.
